Cell of Cthulhu – Melbourne International Games Week
This 3 hour collaborative storytelling experience will harness the immersive setting of Pentridge Prison’s H-Division, known as ‘Hell Division’ to transport players to extraordinary worlds.
Coinciding with Melbourne International Games week, the National Trust has partnered with Masters of Alchemy, Melbourne’s premier provider of theatrical tabletop role-playing game experiences, to present this rare event, with each game played inside a real prison cell.
The authentic setting and bluestone, dungeon atmosphere of Pentridge Prison makes this immersive story telling experience, a game like none you’ve played before. Hosted from within the very bowels of the maximum security unit.
Over the course of 3 hours, players will complete a contained story one shot, guided by the skilled storytelling of professional Game Masters. Players will not only bear witness to the creation of dark worlds of adventure, you will be transported to them.
What to Expect:
- 3-hour, one-shot Call of Cthulhu adventure
- Professional Game Master
- Maximum group size: 5 players
- To book as a group, purchase tickets in a single transaction. Please note, minimum numbers required for games to run.
- Dress warmly, but don’t be surprised if you’re shivering from more than just a chill in the air.
Food and beverage service is not available inside H Division, but guests are welcome to bring their own snacks. While alcohol is not permitted inside, you can enjoy a drink before or after your game at BrewDog, conveniently located in the heart of the Pentridge complex, which also offers takeaway food options.
Cell of Cthulhu is proudly presented by the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) and Masters of Alchemy as part of Melbourne International Games Week, an initiative of the Victorian Government, delivered by Creative Victoria.
