We look forward to welcoming your group to Pentridge Prison Tours. To ensure the best experience, all group bookings must be made at least two weeks in advance and paid in full prior to arrival.

Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email and tax invoice from the National Trust Bookings Team.

Getting here

  • By Car
    Access via Sydney Road, Murray Road, Champ Street or Pentridge Boulevard. Free parking available for up to three hours.
  • By Train
    Take the Upfield Line from Melbourne CBD and alight at Coburg Station or Batman Station. It’s just a short walk from either stop.
  • By Tram
    Route 19 tram from Elizabeth Street in the city drops you directly along Sydney Road, near Pentridge.
  • By Bike
    Enter via Champ Street under the iconic Clock Tower or from Pentridge Boulevard. Bike parking and a repair station are available onsite.

    Tours are wheelchair accessible where possible. Note: The upper level of H-Division is accessible by stairs only due to the building's heritage.

    Three hours of free parking available in the Pentridge Shopping Centre Complex.
